Submit Official Standardized Test Results
All students must take either the SAT or the ACT. SAT 2 Subjects tests are not a requirement for admission. If the language of instruction at your secondary school is not English, you must take an English proficiency test in addition to the SAT or ACT. You may choose which exam to take. The most common are the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) and the International English Language Testing System (IELTS).
Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)
Kenyon does not have a minimum score requirement for the TOEFL. In general, however, preference will be given to students who score 100 or higher.

International English Language Testing System (IELTS)

Other International Examinations
Students who complete university entrance examinations of other countries, such as the French Baccalaureate, the British A Levels, or the German Abitur, may receive up to three units of credit at Kenyon. The registrar, in consultation with faculty members, will evaluate official examination results submitted by enrolling students and determine the amount of credit and the departments to which credit will be allocated. Any credits so earned cannot be used to fulfill distribution or residency requirements. However, such credit can be cited in a petition for early graduation.
