Applying to Kenyon 申请肯尼恩学院
First-year applicants have three application options: Early Decision 1, Early Decision 2, and Regular Decision.
新生申请有三种选择: 提前决定1(ED1)，提前决定2(ED2)和常规申请(RD)。
Early Decision is an option for students who strongly feel that Kenyon is their first choice. Students commit to attend the College if offered admission through either round of Early Decision. They also guarantee that they have filed no other Early Decision applications and that they must withdraw any regular applications if admitted to Kenyon. Early Decision 1 applicants will be notified of their admission decision in early December and Early Decision 2 applicants will be notified in early February.

Regular Decision is the option that the vast majority of students apply under. Students can submit Regular Decision applications to as many schools as they wish. Students will be notified of their Regular Decision admission decision in late March.

Financial Aid奖学金
Kenyon meets 100% of demonstrated need for all four years for students qualifying for need-based financial aid. Approximately 50% of students will receive need-based aid and 15% of students will receive a merit scholarship.

Need-based financial aid packages are determined through the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and the CSS/PROFILE.

Need-based financial aid packages can include grants, student loans, on-campus employment and other loan options for families.

The Kenyon Net Price Calculatoris a tool that can help you estimate the amount of need-based financial aid for which you would qualify as well as an estimate of your family’s contribution.

Need-based aid is renewable for eight-semesters of full-time attendance at Kenyon. Students need to reapply for need-based aid each year and maintain a cumulative 2.0 GPA.

Merit scholarships are awarded to approximately the top 15% of admitted students. They range in value from $15,000 to full-tuition and are renewable for eight-semesters of full-time attendance (students need to maintain a cumulative 3.0 GPA).

Kenyon also offers the Newman’s Own Foundation Scholarships. These are awarded to students who are socioeconomically disadvantaged, with priority given to those from underrepresented backgrounds. These scholarships eliminate the loan portion of the financial aid package.

Visiting Campus参观学校
If you are interested in Kenyon, you should plan a visit to campus! Tours and interviews are offered throughout the year, as well as overnight visits. Kenyon also hosts larger visit programs including the Cultural Connections program, which is for both multicultural students, and students with a strong interest in multiculturalism.

Once you have a day picked, you will be able to schedule activities for that particular day. Note that not all activities are available on any given day. When you click on a particular day on the online calendar, you will be directed to the Plan Your Visit form. Available activities can include: tours, interviews, information session, class visits, science tours, lunch buddies, and overnight visits. Trustee Opportunity Travel Grant旅行资助
We are also proud to offer travel grants to underrepresented students (including first-generation students) to help offset the cost of visiting campus. These grants cover 100% of the lowest advertised airfare to campus (or $50 to offset the drive to campus). You can find more information about the travel grant (including the application) online. Travel grants can be used for attending an individual visit or one of the Cultural Connections programs.

Chinese Translator: Amelia Li
The Chinese translator Amelia Li is an international student at Kenyon. She is a senior double major in Sociology and Economics. Born and raised in Beijing, the capital of China, Amelia had never come to the United States until coming to Kenyon in 2011. She first learned about Kenyon during her junior year in high school, when Kenyon’s admission representative Bev Morse visited Beijing on a Liberal Arts College Tour. Bev convinced Amelia that Kenyon would be perfect for her, and therefore she filed her application to Kenyon in Early Decision. As she really enjoys her life at Kenyon, Amelia has been working for the Office of Admissions for three years, talking to prospective students and parents from China about her experience as a Kenyon student.
