The competition is open to high school seniors who meet the criteria for admission to Kenyon College and who wish to pursue studio art in their four-year college experience. Those wanting to be considered for studio art scholarships must submit their form by January 15. Students are not required to major in studio art, but will be expected to take studio art courses each year, and scholarship recipients are encouraged to major or minor in studio art. Each scholarship is worth $15,000 per year and is renewable for four years as long as the student maintains an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher. Subsequent interviews will not be necessary to renew the scholarship. All first-year applicants are eligible, including Early Decision applicants. Transfer students are not eligible.
Studio art scholarships are determined on a competitive basis and require the following:
Judges will select up to three scholarship winners each year.

January 15: Preliminary round materials due.
Portfolio, Common Application and scholarship form must be submitted to the Office of Admissions by January 15. NOTE: Students must complete both the art scholarship form and Kenyon's admissions application in order to be considered.
The Kenyon Admissions Portal will go live in mid-October. Applicants who submit after mid-October will receive access to their Portal account within a few days.
March: Scholarship winners notified.
The portfolio should include ten images of your artwork, uploaded to your Kenyon online application. There are step by step instructions on how to upload your work. Portfolio artwork may include drawing, painting, photography, digital imagery, mixed media, printmaking, sculpture and installation.
