Scholarships and Grants
Scholarships and grants include all gift assistance that do not require repayment.
Academic scholarships are awarded by the Admissions office to incoming first-year students on a competitive basis. These scholarships include the Honor Scholars, Science Scholars, and Trustee Opportunity Scholars; the Distinguished Academic Scholarships; and the National Merit Corporation Scholarships. All applicants are automatically considered for merit aid; there is no deadline for this aid other than the regular admissions deadline. There are separate forms and deadlines for each of the talent based scholarships (writing, music, studio art).
Need-based grants as well as other scholarship and grant opportunities may be offered depending upon eligibility. Funding for these programs come from several different sources, including the College itself, and federal and state government agencies. Scholarships and grants from private organizations must be reported to Kenyon College and also included as part of the financial aid package.
Kenyon is proud to participate in the Yellow Ribbon Program, offered through the Veterans Administration. Additional information about the Yellow Ribbon Program may be found on the United States Department of Veteran Affairs website.
