Resources & Support
As you delve into your courses, you'll experience one of the best and most exciting parts of college—the challenge. College challenges you to explore unfamiliar ideas, wrestle with complex theories, and articulate your opinions. We've got numerous resources to help you along the way. And for those times when you run into a challenge you can't quite tackle alone, we've got plenty of experts available to guide you.
Charting your course of study is an important step in determining your future, and our Office of Academic Advising is a great place to go for help. There, you can talk with the dean for academic advising and support. You should also feel free to set up meetings with your faculty advisor or seek the advice of your upper-class counselor.
The Counseling Center offers skill-building workshops and other group and individual sessions that may be useful when dealing with any number of life's issues.
As you maneuver through your college career, you'll likely become very familiar with Olin and Chalmers libraries. Our state-of-the-art libraries give you access to more than seven million books, periodicals, journals, and other resources that will help make you an expert in whatever you're studying.
Math and Science Skills Center
The MSSC is staffed by knowledgeable and friendly peer tutors who are supervised by faculty. Peer tutors can help you with your homework, lab reports or conceptual questions. Laptop computers are available for your use and can be connected to the wireless network.
The Writing Center can assist with everything from working through writer's block to figuring out new ways to strategize on a topic (and of course, they help with revisions too). Our peer tutor program pairs you with another student who is well-versed in a particular subject. Peer tutors have taken the classes and know the professors—they can give you valuable insight.
