Student Clubs & Organizations
Sustainability at Kenyon takes many forms. There are a myriad of opportunities and resources for those wishing to get more involved from student-led clubs to the Sustainability Council and green alumni organizations.
Environmental Campus Organization (ECO)
ECO is a student-run organization that focuses on environmental initiatives on campus and works to create an environmentally friendly culture at Kenyon. Contact email@example.com for more information.
The Kenyon Land Lords focus on service learning through hands-on conservation work and learning about the ecology and science of conservation practices. This includes assisting the Brown Family Environmental Center by managing invasive plant species, blazing trails and completing necessary construction projects. The Kenyon Farm
The Kenyon Farm located on Zion Rd. is a student-run farm with the goal of promoting sustainable agriculture, educating students about farm life, and raising awareness about local foods. From basil to zucchini and goats to chickens, students are welcome to make their way down to the farm to help harvest crops or play with the animals. Find out more at kenyon.edu/kenyon-farm.
Other Green Organizations
The Sustainability Council is a collection of faculty, staff, and students working towards engaging our community with the task of reducing Kenyon’s footprint on the planet. The Council provides a venue to discuss ideas and to coordinate projects and initiatives. Lee Kane '74 and Meryl Brott '91 founded Kenyon Green Alumni, an affinity group for graduates with a professional interest in the environment. It provides networking opportunities assists Kenyon students building environmental careers and advances environmental stewardship at the College.
